Unrolled items -> smaller lucidity, more scrolling is needy :-(.

I don't understand the problem, can you please tell us more?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.

comparison with other menu

'Tools > Customize' shows unfolded items for My macros. You can compare it with 'Tools > Macros > Run macro -> Library: My macros' where the items aren't unfolded as default. 

The unfolded items need more scrolling by mouse and it is unpractical.

Sounds reasonable to collapse nodes in a large tree. Ideally here at the second level.
