Description: In M.S. Word if I close or exit a text document when it is shrunken to smaller size (not minimized), the next time I open the document it opens at the same shrunken size. LibreOffice doesn't do this. L/O opens the document at full size. Clicking "Restore down" in the upper right corner shrinks the window to about 9/10 of the original. I have to grab the borders and shrink the window - every time - if I want to get it smaller. I wish L/O did it the same way Word does, keep the size the way I left it when I saved the file and open it the next time "shrunken" the way I left it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the file 2. Restore Down 3. Adjust the window to any size less than half 4. Close or save the file. 5. Exit L/O 6. Start L/O Writer again 7. Open the file. If it's full size, click "Restore down." Actual Results: described above. Restore down reverts to almost full size window Expected Results: I expected restore Down to use the same size settings I used the last time. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Please see above.
I can't confirm with Version: 7.3.4.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 13668373362b52f6e3ebcaaecb031bd59a3ac66b CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and re-test? I don't know why this is hard to understand. If you load a document into M.S. Word, then Restore Down (shrink it down), e.g., make it about 1/3 of full size. Exit Word. Go back into Word. Reload the document. It will be the way you left it - about 1/3 of full size. LO DOESN'T DO THIS. Load a document into L/O, Restore it down - shrink it to about 1/3 full size. Exit L/O. The next time you bring the doc back into L/O it's Full Size. Restore Down takes it to about 90% of full size. It doesn't save the last setting. Every time the user has to go through the same rigamarole all over again, Restoring the document Down, then dragging the sides of the window down. It would be much more convenient, e.g., working on 2 or 3 documents at once, or working from an online source and an open L/O doc, if Restore Down SAVED the last setting. M.W.
It's not a question of understanding. But I simply couldn't reproduce. It seems, your've used an old version of LO. So please retest with actual version LO 7.4. And please also try with a clean usee profile as requested in comment 1. => NEEDINFO
