Hello Gordon, Thank you for reporting the bug. Unfortunately without clear steps to reproduce it, we cannot track down the origin of the problem. Please provide a clearer set of step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the steps are provided
This is something I have noticed for awhile. It often manifests as extra spaces at the end of a sentence. While not a deal breaker, it is a nuisance. How to reproduce: easy, just try to type a few words (try 100) then highlight the entire paragraph. Notice how extra space is highlighted at the end. I usually open .docx files with writer, however I don't think this is related to the bug.

Btw I am on Linux so this bug is likely platform agnostic Arch Linux: Writer 7.3.4.2
(In reply to KF from comment #3) > How to reproduce: easy, just try to type a few words ... Not easy. I have no idea what you can possibly consider a bug here. The example in comment 1 is very complex. I found the text you referred to, but didn't see any unexpected spaces. > highlight the entire paragraph. Notice how extra space is highlighted at the > end. So, if I create a document and press enter 4 times, and then select all, the selection area will extend all the way to the right margin. Clicking at the end of a paragraph never inserts any spaces. The wording of this bug report jumps all over the place. I'm just going to close it as invalid since it has been sitting here for two years.
