Description: Hi all, I’m using LO 7.2.7 on Windows 11, but this first happened with LO 7.6.2. I’m trying to embed some videos into a presentation. MP4s don’t work, but AVI & WMV do. However, when I close and reopen the presentation the video is missing and I just have a blank slide. Same if I link the video file. How can I stop this from happening as I need to close the file to share with colleagues, put it on a flash drive for in-person meetings etc.? Thanks, M Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert a compatible video (e.g. AVI) into slide, as per LO instructions. 2. Video plays fine in slide and during presentation/slide show mode. 3. Close and reopen the Impress file (saved as MS 365 .pptx). Actual Results: When the file is reopened, the slide that did contain a video is now blank (other features like textboxes remain). Expected Results: The videos should be embedded, so that when I reopen the file they are still ther. I need to be able to share files with colleagues, so that when they open them it's in the same state and when I closed it. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Please see https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/embedding-video-in-impress/77934/4 thread for bug confirmation.
Do you have codecs such as LAV Filters installed: https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases Is this happening with any video file? Like something available on the web that you could point to. No problem here.
