Description: The Impress list of transition 'other sounds' becomes cluttered if many different sounds are used over time, including references to sound files that no longer exist. There is apparently no way of editing it to remove redundant entries. Actual Results: Transition sound list cannot be edited to remove redundant 'other sounds' Expected Results: Ability to remove user sounds which are no longer required Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Provide a means of editing the 'other sounds' list
Reproduced in: Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fc4f7db59152f606b6aa88cf32197700959d0f8b CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Same thing in OOo 3.3
I logged this bug almost two years ago. Progress seems to have come to a standstill. This bug can be quite critical, particularly when sound files in different folders have the same name and Impress still links to the original file rather than the current one. Can attention to this issue be renewed please?
Just an observation as regards sounds added via "Other sound...". There is an environment variable called GALLERY_SHOW_HIDDEN_THEMES [1], [2]. Set it to True (or 1) and LibreOffice / OpenOffice will reveal in the Gallery i.a. the theme "private://gallery/hidden/usersounds". Every element of this theme may be removed. After doing this, the item will not appear in the transition sounds list. CAVEAT: This _seems_ to work up to and including 24.2.6.2. As of 24.8, the deletion process ends with an LO crash. --==- Ref.: [1] TDF Wiki - Development/Environment variables https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Environment_variables [2] AOO Wiki - Environment Variables https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Environment_Variables
