2.select cell b152 (last one) and click anywhere in the input area at top of screen
3.

Actual Results:
all cells in list should be marked as selected (colored borders) but the 22 last ones are not

Expected Results:
ALL cells in list should be marked as selected (colored borders)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I saw it in the last version 7.3.6.2 and also in the previous 7.3.5.2 when I installed it back. It probably should have occurred before but I just recently got a list with so many items.

Known limitation (btw it's 128) that is intended because colouring too many referenced cells slows things down. Previously it was 64 (bug 105622) and before that 32 (bug 65206).

I tend to not increase this any more.

Formula in A152 without skipping rows

Which color do not help much, since there are only eight colors.
But I think that it helps to see which cells are included (or not) in the formula.

However, how frequent is to have a formula with more than 128 references?

> […] colouring too many referenced cells slows things down

Why if since the 9th reference only default cell selection color is applied?
Comment 5 Aldelge 2022-10-08 07:07:11 UTC
>it helps to see which cells are included (or not)

I use it to see if I forgot some cells, comparing 2 totals, and to help me find out which ones. The color has no importance for me.

>how frequent is to have a formula with more than 128 references?

It just happened to me now, I never expected to reach so much elements, but it will not decrease now.
I'll have to find another method :-((
I think now that I never would go higher than let's say, 150, but you never know.

Dear Aldelge,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword
