This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-e1f0bd5b-8e69-4abf-9058-1b9acb24d906. ========================================= A big file (2.1 MiB on disk) was loaded in Writer. It was displayed in two windows. In the first window, the text cursor was (roughly) on p. 200, and the 'Find' bar was in use. In the second window, the text cursor was at the end of the file (p. 784). I was coming back from the second window and hit, in the first window, the downwards arrow beside the find box in order to find the next occurrence. At this point, Writer crashed. After disappearance of Writer from the screen, the Windows task manager reported two instances of LibreOffice running, one quiet, the other one occupying more than 50% of CPU power, apparently in an endless loop. I had to kill this process, which killed both instances of it. During the last months and with earlier LO versions, I had sent several automatic crash reports under similar circumstances, but without description. I am now sure that working on a file in two windows is a condition for this kind of crash. It is, however, not simply reproducible. Sometimes Writer works with two windows over some span of time without crashing.
Perhaps upgrading to LO 7.3.6 (last release from 7.3 branch) may help.
I have now been working with v. 7.4.2.3 for a week, and no crash has occurred. Apparently something has been done about this bug.
