how libre office writer normally starts - before paste of email address from Twitter page

I open Libre Office, I select Writer for a new blank document - at that point, the default font is Liberation Serif, 12pt. I paste in an email address copied from Twitter, and AFTER deleting that email address from the otherwise blank document, the font changes to TwitterChirp;apple-system;BlinkMacSystemFont;Segoe UI;Roboto;Helvetica;Arial;sans-serif 11.3pt

I was on version 7.3, now 7.4 - it happens in BOTH versions. I believe the error / bug can be replicated with the above steps.

I could not attach more than one attachment, so the second screenshot contains the bug. Let me know if you want to see it.

Stu, thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
 Libreoffice profile (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and re-test?

Have gone into safe mode in order to test if same error CAN be reproduced, and it can. Blank document, copy Twitter email address, NOT Twitter handle but email formatted address in Twitter, then manually backspace until email address is gone, and as soon as you delete ONE char of email address (sourced from Twitter), font has changed as above - all this in safe mode of version 7.4.2.3 (x64) build 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf

I am running windows 11, if anyone can let me know if [LibreOffice running in] win 10 has SAME issue?
Comment 5 Stu Mountjoy 2022-11-14 09:46:18 UTC
I did not do "other browsers" test, I was using Chrome to copy email, from Twitter to LibreOffice Writer.

Trying Firefox, Edge, to see if they also do same thing.

Chrome version was 107.0.5304.107 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Edge test - same problem - version was 107.0.1418.42 (Official build) (64-bit)

Firefox - version is 106.0.5 (64-bit) - NO issue when Firefox used! When email copied from Twitter to LibreOffice Writer, using Firefox, NO font change when deleting email address from otherwise blank new document.

I confirm it, not with an email address, but with a twitter account

Steps:
1. Open twitter.com in chrome browser
2. Copy any link to twitter account
3. paste into writer with Ctrl+V

Actual result
Direct Formatting (font of inserted text is TwitterChirp;apple-system;BlinkMacSystemFont;Segoe UI;Roboto;Helvetica;Arial;sans-serif and font size is 7,5)

Expected
No direct Formatting

4.Delete text with Del

Actual result
Font of empty paragraph is TwitterChirp;apple-system;BlinkMacSystemFont;Segoe UI;Roboto;Helvetica;Arial;sans-serif and font size is 7,5)

Expected result
Font and font size of default paragraph style
