Excel File Showing Net Chart

I created a simple net/radar chart using the data in the attached sheet in following LO Version:
----------------------------------------------------
7.4.2.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22621; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-IN (en_IN); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
-----------------------------------------------------

Issue

When I create this net chart in LO Calc, the axis is not centered inside the chart as it should be. Whatever I try it does not work. The X and Y Axis and the Grid remain the same.

when I create the same chart in Excel it works perfectly (see attached file).

However when I open this excel file ( book1) in LO Calc, the axis appears correct and I can label it and manipulate it properly using scaling.

But if I change the chart type to another version of net chart, the axis gets botched up again. I have tried this on two computers.

This did not happen on previous versions like 7.3

Thanks

Thank you for your report!

I can reproduce: the axis is not as expected in LO 7.4, it should be going through the middle of the net instead of on the left and bottom.

Steps:
1. Open attachment 183514 [details]
2. Select data area with headings
3. Insert Chart > Net > Lines only > Next
4. Data series in rows
5. Click "Finish"

Same thing editing the existing chart and changing the type of net chart.

Version: 7.4.2.3 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

But it works as expected in:

Version: 7.3.6.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: c28ca90fd6e1a19e189fc16c05f8f8924961e12e
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

and also in a recent master build:

Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 0cf5141b2233611286a27930d8030c562eb0d84b
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Could you try the latest master build to confirm it is fixed please? https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html

Would be good to identify what fixed the issue so it could be backported to the 7.4 branch.

Many thanks for your prompt response and acknowledgement.

>>>Could you try the latest master build to confirm it is fixed please? https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html

I have downloaded 7.5 from the above link and the verision info is as below:
----------------------------------
Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 3c0be5564afe1b9cc843a49aba88b72af74c43ab
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-IN (en_IN); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
---------------------------------

Tested the net chart in the above LO 7.5 Dev Build and I can confirm the following :

(1) It works perfectly - just as expected with Axis in the center of the Chart.

(2) I could also easily and accurately change the axis minimum, maximum and interval.

(3) A change in chart type to a different version of net chart (like filled etc.) does not cause any issues and works perfectly.

Overall, the axis issue with the net chart stands resolved in LO 7.5 Dev build.

It will be great to see it resolved and backported in a future update of LO 7.4

Regards and thanks for your great work !

Good news, this is a duplicate of bug 151424 and the fix is already backported to 7.4, it will be available in 7.4.3.
