Created attachment 184015 [details] screenshot moved track changes with customization settings I recently upgraded to Libreoffice 7 and have noticed an additional markup in the Record Track Changes called Moved. The moved text is bright green, with an additional double underline of the Moved (insertion) and a double strikethrough of the Moved (Deletion). However, I do not see the possibility to modify/customize the way the moved text is displayed in the usual settings (Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Changes). Neither there is a possibility disable the tracking of moves.
The feature was implemented in 7.3: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/7.3#Other_improvements_in_track_changes The discussion with another user complaining about this: https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/track-changes-mysterious-colours/83482
I confirm, that option is missing Version: 7.4.3.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 1048a8393ae2eeec98dff31b5c133c5f1d08b890 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL László, you've implemented the move feature. Is it possible for you to add customisation?
This problem persists in version 24.2.1.2. Sometimes the tracking of moves is very useful, but it is also often a nuisance. Sometimes trivial things are flagged as moves, as when deleting common words like 'due to' and then later adding an unrelated occurrence of those words somewhere else. When revising a sentence, it is not very important to show that a few words have been moved, especially when a word is modified (e.g., 'suspect something' -> 'suspicion of something') and only part of the word is flagged as having been moved and the rest is shown as having been added. I think it would be valuable to be able to customize the settings for this new feature, but even more important to be able to turn it on and off.
It is present even in 24.8.2 I agree that it would be very helpful to have customization settings for this feature. Microsoft Office has it.
