Description: Both features would be nice to have implemented for easier row/column movement. 1. Add a Paste-Insert option for rows and columns that were cut or copied, and when you did either Paste or Paste-Insert, the source should be removed if the previous action was a cut. Subsequent Paste's or Paste-Insert's should act like the source was copied and not try to remove the source again. 2. Allow users to move selected rows or columns and by clicking and dragging the header with the mouse. Google Sheets has this feature. Actual Results: See Description. Expected Results: See Description. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Currently, in order to accomplish the same results (once selected) requires an additional five steps: Cut (which does not remove original rows/columns) or copy, insert new rows/columns, paste, reselect original rows/columns, right-click > delete. Having to do all this makes it more of a pain.
Did you take a look into https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/scalc/guide/move_dragdrop.html?DbPAR=CALC#bm_id3155686 ?
It is possible to "move" an entire column or row by Alt + drag-and-dropping a selection. Doing the same with the column or row heading is requested in Bug 46930 already. Regarding the "paste-insert" part, the current workaround is the paste special dialog or the drag-and-drop described above. For a new option in the context menu, it is already discussed in Bug 39936. Therefore, marking as duplicate of one of them. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 39936 ***
