Description Mannshoch 2023-02-01 15:23:31 UTC
Description:
Add a mode to color used styles in Document.

I propose a specific appearance which looks similar to the user colors in multi edit environments. This appearance should be able to activate If you are in the Sheet overview. If you activate it. The Style overview shows the color legend.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I need an Overview
2. change to the sheet section on the right side
3. Tick settings Color mode
4. have a nice colored overview about used styles.

Actual Results:
chaotic and you could barly see it.

Expected Results:
help in using styles in Writer.

Reproducible: Always

I'm afraid, this could be chaotic:
1. Is your suggestion about paragraph styles, character styles, list styles?
2. How should we solve problem, if regular text is already couloured?

Anyway, let's ask design-team for their opinion.

Can you please rephrase your request, and provide two or three use-cases.

If you are asking for what I think you are asking for, it is implemented in LibO.

However, based on the vocabulary used, I doubt that what I think you are asking for, is what you are requesting.

Also wonder about the use case.

But do you know the experimental "Document Style" aka "Design" feature? If not, activate the experimental features at Tools > Options > Advanced and find the tab "Design" in the sidebar. Is this what you are looking for?

I think it's a dupe of bug 38194 that Jim implemented in 7.6

micet2004-linux@yahoo.de , if you disagree, then just reopen the report. Thanks
