Description Patrick Durusau 2023-04-03 14:29:06 UTC
I'm creating autotext entries that, like a spelling dictionary, would be useful to other users (not on the same network). Enabling Autotext to be part of a template would be one solution for sharing, but perhaps not the optimum one.

My specific use case is changing the language used to describe universities in the US, thus "Harvard University, a historically and predominantly White institution," whenever I type Harvard in a document.

Language use and habits matter, so a reminder rather than assumption of dominant culture would be helpful.

TBH, the autotext dialog is a bit confusing and it takes some head scratching to conclude that it really doesn't offer export (it doesn't, right?)

... but there is an "Import..." menubutton item on it.

Thank you Patrick.
This has been requested previously in bug 76295, so please feel free to discuss potential solutions there.
Liking the use case :)
