Description: Writer closes when I open Page Style > Area > Image. As soon as Image is pressed, it closes. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Page Style 2.Area 3.Image Actual Results: Closes Expected Results: Closes Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: The software should have opened Image, so I can set a background image in the page style.
On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I don't reproduce this. On which env are you? (Linux, Windows, macOS) Could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile ?

Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 53bb9681a964705cf672590721dbc85eb4d0c3a2 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded Maybe you can find easy test with a clean profile, through Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
No crash either for me on Linux or macOS.
In new project, even in safe mode, it crashes when I: go Page Style > Area > Image and then set image, and then select None for Area. As soon as I hit the None button, the app closes.
I am using Windows.

I reset my PC (deleting and resetting Windows) and the problem now does not exist. Is there a better way to achieve the same result?

Perhaps just reinstalling LO if it was corrupted by something? Anyway, next time, you can try to retrieve a backtrace (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#Windows:_How_to_get_a_backtrace) so it may provide some hints about the root cause. Let's put this one to WFM but don't hesitate to reopen this tracker if you can reproduce this later.
