Description peter josvai 2023-04-21 20:56:57 UTC
it would be great to be able to open "projects", which
would mean that a couple of files (documents) would open...

or we could add documents to a list which would open together
call them "document lists".. "document groups"

but in NAVIGATOR we could handle it all..
like a playlist

just an idea...
Comment 1 peter josvai 2023-04-22 05:06:08 UTC
the approach could start with the "windows" menu...
where we see all the open documents

there could be perhaps a "create session" menu item...

and the session could be set as "autosave" or "persistent" (just making up words :))

- -
documents being linked in session files / session documents / session navigators would have their session(s) listed in properties window...
one main session and many possible others

- -

Navigator could be the place where sessions could be handled, edited..

BUT recently used windows in the "starting menu" too offer this possibility perhaps...

and session files / session documents / session organizers could be made of normal documents...
but could later on saved as session organizers perhaps with their own extension
....
+1,
one other possible starting point could be, where this concept already exists is the "restore documents" window and "system"

just sketchy ideas...
we'll see if others join in :)

for a beginning I'd be happy if I could easily copy a document's hard link (local relative/absolute link in the file system)...
into a collector document... as clickable links...

+1 to "Windows" menu:

perhaps, for a beginning, a "send file list to clipboard"
could be introduced...

and we could save the list in a document as a session organizer document

...
and in that list, file-links would be present
