Created attachment 186852 [details] Eliminate Points icon in Edit Points toolbar I spent a lot of time trying to understand the purpose of the Eliminate Points tool in the Edit Points toolbar. The information regarding this in both the Draw 7.4 Guide and Help files confused me. When I finally decided I understood what the tool did, I decided it presented a complicated way of achieving the same end as the Delete Points tool in the same Edit Points toolbar. Therefore, I think LibreOffice Draw could be improved and simplified by removing the Eliminate Points tool.

It took me a little to understand what it does, but now I see it is not a duplicate of the Delete Point function and needs to be kept: - Delete Points is an action that deletes the points in selection. - Eliminate Points is a mode that can be toggled on or off to automatically remove points that are considered to be superfluous because the segment they are a part of are very close to a straight line. Consider a use case: you have a complex polygon that you are modifying, moving points around. With the Eliminate Points mode on, you can automatically remove points you just moved when they don't add much to the overall shape of the polygon. Marking as "not a bug" although I'm sure the documentation could do with some improvements.
