Description Bruce 2023-04-25 02:31:34 UTC
Will not save to MacOS desktop but will save everywhere else. Will not save means Libre Office displays a spinning wheel and does not recover, the only recourse being to force quit.

Libre Office 7.5.2.2, MacOS X13.0.1

User profile has been reset, permissions checked, Privacy and security/Full disk access set correctly.

All other applications on this computer can save successfully to the desktop.
Comment 1 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-04-25 08:05:40 UTC
I could not reproduce the issue on:

Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 53bb9681a964705cf672590721dbc85eb4d0c3a2
CPU threads: 2; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Nor on Linux. Saving to the Desktop folder worked on both.

Does this happen also with other components like Writer?
Can you please share the full version information copied from LibreOffice > About ?

Thank you
Comment 2 Bruce 2023-04-25 13:39:49 UTC
The issue is definite and persistent. When I first installed an update for Libre Office (detail below) the application hung for all attempts to save or save as for writer, Calc and Draw ( I did not test the others)
After deleting the Libre Office user profile and restarting the application I was able to save anywhere EXCEPT the desktop.
There are no anti-virus apps on the Mac.
There are no issues with any other app saving to the desktop folder.
All permissions on the local hard disk appear correct.

Comment 4 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-04-25 20:49:57 UTC
Bruce, any chance you could update macOS to the latest version of Ventura and see if the issue persists?
Comment 5 Bruce 2023-04-25 22:36:22 UTC
I have updated the Mac to OS Ventura 3.3.1 and the bug still exists in exactly the same form.
Comment 6 Bruce 2023-04-26 00:43:50 UTC
This bug appears to be the same as previously reported in bug reports 128233 and 139679 so this is not a new issue.
