Description: I have to press F2 often, and in the dark, I often miss and press F1. Why is that your problem? It isn't, but I sure wish that editing F1 were possible. I could reroute F1 to do the same thing that F2 does, and if I ever needed help, I could use the menu. Maybe the answer (for me) is to create a shortcut for Edit... Steps to Reproduce: 1. Alt-T (Tools) 2. C (Customize) 3. Click on "Keyboard" tab 4. Try to click on Modify button at right Actual Results: "Modify" button is grayed out, so nothing happens. <F1> cannot be changed, nor can <F6>, <F10>, <Shift-F1>, <Shift-F2>, <Shift-F6>, <Ctrl-F1>, <Ctrl-F4>, <Alt-F4>, etc. Expected Results: Desired Results: It would allow me to change <F1> to "Cell Edit Mode" and also allow <F2> to be "Cell Edit Mode". Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Obviously, some of this should never be allowed: <Alt-F4>, <Ctrl-Esc>, <Ctrl-Shift-Esc>, etc. But some keystrokes could be changed with no harm to the user or the application.
It's an interesting question why we don't allow to change these shortcuts at all... UX-team?
Changing the F1 shortcut is not a good idea but neither disallowing.
It's a valid request. Why should users only be able to customize shortcut keys? I'm for this. Also agree this should be allowed.
We discussed the topic in the design meeting and agree with the request. Allowing to detach F1 from the help command should be possible.
Was already the case in OOo 3.3, so inherited.
