Created attachment 188187 [details] Screenshot showing the problem In Impress, if you add a shape to the document with the default fill settings, its state won't be shown in the Properties sidebar (see attached image for more information). Steps to reproduce: 1) Create a blank Impress document 2) Using the "Shapes" sidebar, insert a rectangle into the slide 3) Now click the Properties sidebar 4) Notice that the "Area" section does not provide the correct fill settings of the object (it should be "Color" instead of "None") If you create another object and apply a fill color, then the sidebar will start working, even for the first object.
