Description Paul 2023-07-04 02:04:09 UTC
Description:
I have 423 rows based on date, name, amount credit, amount debit. So there are 4 columns. I have placed in order the tenants and the name of expenses (i.e. insurance) into 12 month blocks (for the tenants.) I use to be able to sort these into a chronological order but now I cannot. It even changes some dates to 1999 and in between current day.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create 4 columns x 423 rows. column1 = date 2=name 3= credit 4= debit
2.highlight column 1 and sort ascending.
3.you could just email me mrpaulorourke@hotmail.com and I will send you a calc page with the data on it.

Actual Results:
as above

Expected Results:
dates are wrong (changed in some case) not sorted in chronological order.

Reproducible: Always

(In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #1)
> Please attach a sample file.

@Paul, your description of the content of the file seems to be related to some private or sensible data. Please be aware that attaching a file makes the file available to the public.

See
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission

You could modify the data so it won't represent "real" data.

In any case, please try to make the file a meaningful representation of the problem - we probably don't need all the columns and hundreds of rows; just enough so the problem is clearly reproduced.

Please add in your next comment the info from LibreOffice menu Help > About (or a similar menu for your OS).

Also, please note that comments for this report are to be posted (in the report itself), not by private emails. So, please don't reply by email; just post comments at
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156150
or, for attaching a (publicly available) file, use the relevant "Add an attachment" link in that page.

Additionally, how exactly are you introducing the data? Are you typing-in each value (especially the dates), or is the data imported (e.g. from some csv file or similar), or is the data copy+pasted, or some other method?
