In any LO application, if you zoom in/out using the Ctrl + Mouse wheel (or Ctrl + touchpad gesture, which is where the problem is more noticeable), the zoom will be too fast, which makes it hard to achieve the exact level of zoom that one wants. I think we should have a small timer (a few milliseconds) for each zoom change, to make zooming smoother. This problem is more noticeable in gtk3 and kf5... in gen it is not as much of a problem.
Currently I couldn't find any setting in OS options that would change the zoom/magnification speed that would change LO scroll speed. Changing scroll speed does nothing. Currently using latest build on windows 10. Link below to zoom bar instructions for LO. Best option currently would be to click bottom right for zoom/magnification. Could be potential looked at in terms of accessibility by UI team in the future. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Videos/Zoom_functions_under_Windows#:~:text=Hold%20down%20the%20Ctrl%20key,wheel%20to%20pan%20and%20zoom.
Did it have something to do with cursor speed? (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/component-guidelines/touchpad-tuning-guidelines#modifying-cursor-speed) I can't test with a touchpad now.
I have no problem with Ctrl + Mouse wheel.
(In reply to LeroyG from comment #3) > I have no problem with Ctrl + Mouse wheel. Indeed... the problem happens mostly with the touchpad. When using the mouse it is easier to control the zoom level. I'm adjusting the title of this ticket then.
