Created attachment 188872 [details] Screencast for intended feature
Please take a look of the solution in this thread of LibreOffice forum. https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/how-to-move-columns-rows-in-calc/8234/16
The provided solution works for me. But several people in the discussion were facing problems with this (Especially is Alt key is used a modifier key by the desktop environment). Can the drag-and-drop feature be more intuitive? Take a look on the screencast attached.
Let's mark as a duplicate of earlier bug 46930. Also related is bug 99457. Please feel free to contribute your ideas there! Thank you! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 46930 ***
I believe this is not a dupe: * Bug 46930 requests for the possibility of replacing _without_ selection, by click-dragging the header. * This bug is about replacement/repositioning of a _selected_ row/column. Of course they are closely related. I would mark this as NEW.

(In reply to Eyal Rozenberg from comment #5) > I believe this is not a dupe: How do you think UX can be of service? I believe it is in general disadvantageous to bloat the bugtracker with all flavors of a feature request.
