Description acampbell012 2023-09-10 22:37:36 UTC
Tool bars selected disappear when any spreadheet activity occurs. I can not pinpoint what may be causing this. Specifically, when I activate the Standard and Formatting toolbars, they disappear within a minute of using the spreadsheet.

acampbell012, can please confirm that you are using the Tabbed user interface?

Somewhat related: bug 148123.
Adding UX/Design team to CC because Ady added needsUXEval.
Comment 3 acampbell012 2023-09-11 11:45:55 UTC
View was standard, not tabbed. Standard and formatting toolbars were the only ones active

Safe mode did not resolve the issue, however; following the instructions for deleting and recreating the profile folder resolved the issue.

Problem did not exist in any earlier versions I had installed.

Considering the difficulties to recreate this problem (as described in comment 3), there are 2 possibilities:
_ convert this report into an enhancement request for UI other than Standard (as per comment 1); or,
_ close this report as insufficient data (in order to replicate the original issue, with no reporter's fault, of course).
Comment 5 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-09-11 12:11:50 UTC
OK, let's remove UX/Design team from CC, and close as "worksforme" as it's unlikely we'll identify what was wrong with that profile.
If you manage to reproduce again, please set back to "unconfirmed" and provide further information.
Thank you both!
