Suppose I insert an image into an LO module. How do I know whether the image is raster or vector? And what its more specific format is?

I can't tell by looking at it, obviously; the context-menu doesn't offer any appropriate image meta-data; the "Name" and "Description" don't say anything relevant (and don't mention the original filename, with or without extension; that's bug 87408; but it wouldn't really help much). It is only when you "Save..." the image that the output file type drop-down listbox tells you what the format is. That is not intuitive enough, and one should not need to pretend to want to save the image in order to determine its format.

This information is in the Compress dialog. I think we can close the bug?

I guess.
