If I copy the text from the soon-to-be-attached original.odt into the main content element of the first slide of a new Impress presentation, then select both lines of text (or Select-All within the Impress text box) - the font family box on the toolbars shows me the first paragraph's font family, rather than a blank. This does not happen if, in the new presentation, I enter the text manually, on two paragraphs, set the fonts by DF, and perform the same selection.
Created attachment 190363 [details] Original - copy the text from here into a new Impress presentation
Created attachment 190653 [details] two lines of text with different font families
For me, the font family displays unexpectedly in following scenarios: 1. Open Impress 2. Manually type two lines of text, each line with different font family 3. Wait a few seconds (if above steps were completed in an existing file or text box) 4. CTRL+A OR 1. Open attachment 190653 [details] 2. Copy text 3. Open Impress and paste in a text box 4. CTRL+A OR highlight text with mouse I uploaded another file with two completely different font families used (not just font variations of the same family). If the devs get around to fixing Bug 157876, the original file may cause some false negatives while testing this bug. Reproduced. But no need to copy and paste from Writer, as shown in first set of steps in comment 3. The displayed font name is the one that was last displayed, so not necessarily the selection's first paragraph's. Inconsistency might depend on how slow the Font Name combobox updates. (It takes about a second for me.) Regression, as it used to work as expected in OOo 3.3.
(In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #4) > Regression, as it used to work as expected in OOo 3.3. Actually, no, it's inherited. Just needed to wait a second to let the combobox update, then Ctrl + A: no blank for multiple font families.
