Description seinfeld@jsli.org 2023-11-26 17:34:21 UTC
My browser remembers this URL - https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/enter_bug.cgi - but it is not allowing me to submit a bug - apparently it's a defunct page. Page should be deleted to avoid confusion. I tried for about 15 min before realizing that the problem wasn't me, it's the page. Generates an error, "You must select/enter a version." despite the fact that a version has been selected.

The page you linked works for me, it prompts to choose a project to then report a bug with a form.
For example, using the LibreOffice link, it takes you to https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice&format=guided

What exactly is the problem? Which steps do you follow? Which browser do you use?

(Note that if you are very unlucky, you might have picked a version number that was modified while you were filling the form. But that would be extremely unlikely.)

All that I did was fill out the form. I tried it on Brave Browser 1.59.117 for macOS and on Safari which is up to date, same result. It was telling me I needed to choose a version number but everything on the form was selected, no way around that error.

OK, you got me. I just tried it again and this time no error. I guess I was just unlucky on Friday when it wouldn't work.

Thanks for checking! Closing as "not a bug" instead, "fixed" is for when a commit that fixes an issue is identified.
