Description: In Impress and Writer, if one right-clicks on a word that the current spellcheck says is misspelled, one only gets spelling/correction-related options, which can be annoying as hell. Maybe I don't want to bullied into correcting the word's spelling, adding it to the dictionary, ignoring all, etc. -- maybe I just want to italicize or clone the formatting. The fact that LibreOffice thinks it needs to force me to deal with what IT thinks is most important first rather than let me decide what I want to do is a first-class usability dud. The app should - either offer all options as usual PLUS the spelling-related ones (preferred option); - or offer an option whether the user can say which of the two kinds of context menus it is supposed to offer when the user clicks on a misspelled word. Sorry, but having the app just say "Screw you, I won't even allow you do do any other context menu stuff before you deal with my spelling opinions" is just plain stupid and this has been like this for as long as I can remember. Steps to Reproduce: 1. mistype a word so that LO labels it misspelled 2. right-click on it 3. curse the app Actual Results: stupid context menu Expected Results: useful context menu Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: BLAHHH, there is no other info
Thanks for the report. I agree this could be improved, it's very common to have both the usual actions + the spellcheck suggestions in the one context menu nowadays, for example in web browsers.
