1. Open LibreOffice Writer. 2. Type in some text e.g. test 3. File | Export As | Export As PDF. 4. In General tab make sure "Hybrid PDF (embed ODF file)" is checked. 5. Press Export button and save the file e.g. test.pdf 6. Close LibreOffice Writer document, you can close it without saving odf file. 7. Open empty Writer document. 8. File | Open and select pdf file. 9. File is opened in Draw. This is a regression. It used to open in Writer. I don't know which is the problem: a) odf file is not embed ad saving pdf b) embed file is not recognized when opening pdf. I assume it is option b), because I can no longer open embed ODF files in PDF files in Writer. This is very serious problem for my work-flow. I have plenty of PDF files and I can't edit them. It looks I will have to downgrade the software... ============ Version: 7.6.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 29d686fea9f6705b262d369fede658f824154cc0 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: sl-SI (en_SI); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
I did the same test on Ubuntu 23.10 and no issue on Ubuntu. Interesting, looks like Windows specific problem. ========== Version: 7.6.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 29d686fea9f6705b262d369fede658f824154cc0 CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: sl-SI (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Flatpak Calc: threaded
