Description Tino Mori 2024-02-18 21:44:05 UTC
Description:
I have been trying to use the fontwork to have line on a curve, but it does not allow me to change the kerning or allow font effects like "shadow". Please help.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create arc shape
2. Add fontwork to commands toolbar
3. type text onto the arc (will appear in the middle of shape)
4. Activate the fontwork in the toolbar to bring up fontwork menu
5. select "rotate" to place text on the curve. The text should now follow the curve.
6. (Issue start) select the arc/curve, click on "character" under properties, and select spacing options, either loose or tight.

Actual Results:
The preview will show the letters spacing out as directed, but as soon as you click away to see the effect on the curve, it goes back to regular.

Expected Results:
The kerning of the letters on the curve should match the selected kerning. (Loose for loose, tight for tight, 3.0 for 3.0, etc.)

Reproducible: Always

Yes, spacing and kerning is a problem.
Similar problem for 'upright' is reported in bug 155152.

The problem is inherited from OpenOffice, see bug report https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=113391
