Description Robert Hickman 2024-03-06 15:16:12 UTC
Description:
Created a TEST Impress presentation using LibreOffice 7.4.7.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition version 6. Inserted an audio file (embedded not linked) on first slide. Selected "mute" option to prevent it from playing when slide is first viewed. Selected "play audio" for the mouse interaction. In slide show the behavior is as desired; i.e., audio is not played until I click on the object with my mouse. Saved the file (native ODP) and ended LibreOffice. On reopening the ODP file the first slide's "mute" option is remembered, however the desired "mouse interaction" (play audio) has been forgotten.

When the presentation is saved as a PPTX file a slightly different bug appears after closing and reopening. Namely, the "mute" option is forgotten and the mouse interaction has been incorrectly remembered as "open document", with the mouse click opening the audio file with the "celluloid" app.

I would really like to start using Impress for presentations with embedded audio and video files, but these "audio file" bugs are a road-block.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.See above
2.
3.

Actual Results:
LibreOffice is forgetting audio file options as noted above.

Expected Results:
Desired embedded audio file options (mute and mouse interaction) should be remembered when the presentation file is saved.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Desired embedded audio file options (mute and mouse interaction) should be remembered when the presentation file is saved.

Attached screenshots show show that the desired mouse interaction has been forgotten after the saved ODP file has been reopened by Impress.

Thanks for the report.

Reproduced with ODP in 7.0.0.3, 24.2.3.2 and recent daily build:

Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: ae798781ef4df7a1fdef13af0bc459bf4f6e7b4c
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

Interaction is back to "No action" after save and reload.

However, if interaction is on e.g. a drawing object, it persists after a save and reload.
