Description:
The Background Colour is not working in

LibreOffice 24.2.1.2 (x86_64)

Actual Results:
The cells selected are unaffected

Expected Results:
The cells should contain the colour chosen


Reproducible: Always


User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Cells are selected and the relevant colour is chosen

Background Colour icon is pressed

The cells chosen are not effected

Please post Version Information details from Help -> About menu.

Also, the os and DE you are using.

There is a Skia related issue affecting highcontrast mode users on Windows, see also bug 160036. Possibly related for your os/DE but need your configuration details.

Can't reproduce an issue with background colour of cells, in Writer tables nor in Calc. But it is unclear what issue Clive is actually having.
Are you sure you are not using "Character Highlighting Color" in Writer table cells, which would only be visible if there are characters in the cell? Cell background is changed with "Table Cell Background Color".
