displaying page number in the application background

hi, 

Very often we have space beside the document... 
in these cases page number could be displayed in the Application background...

I'm almost certain that everyone would love that :)

Peter, thank ypu for that idea. For me, this is not necessary, because I can see actual page number in statusbar. But of course it's up to design-team to decide.

I also do not share your excitement over this "head-up display". It's mostly based on the idea of a fancy design, which is not bad per se. But the functionality would be limited in case of zoom, depends on book mode, RTL/LTR, etc.
