Description: I copied some text (two words, about 15 characters) from Apple Notes using Command-C and pasted it into a LibreOffice paragraph using Command-V. It pasted the text with the attributes it had in Notes (DOH!) but I wanted it to pick up the LO formatting. So I undid the paste using Command-Z, I then pasted using a Keyboard Maestro macro to removing formatting. It invokes the LO Edit-Paste Special-Paste Unformatted Text menu option. LO reacted by moving me quite a few pages away from where I was working, deleting at least my entire formatted-text header (I couldn't see if it did the same thing to my formatted Footer), and going into Busy mode, with the colour ball rolling but the program and my document still visible. This issue has happened to me before. This is the third random time, two of which were in OSX 14.3. I never know when it will happen. This is my first report of it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use Command-C to copy text from Apple Notes 2. Use Command-V to paste the clipboard material into LO Writer document. 3. Use Command-Z to undo the paste. 4. Use Command-Option-Control V to trigger a home-made Keyboard Maestro macro that invokes LO's Edit-Paste Special-Paste Unformatted Text menu command to remove the formatting Actual Results: LO reacted by immediately moving me quite a few pages away from where I was working, deleting at least my entire formatted-text header (I couldn't see if it also did the same thing to my formatted Footer), and going into Busy mode, with the Apple colour ball rolling but with the program menu bar and my document and all of its window still visible. Expected Results: It should have pasted the text unformatted into the paragraph without all the drama. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I was working in LibreOffice v 24.2.1.2 (X86_64), Writer with a large file of mostly formatted text (272740 words, 474 of 8.5x11" pages). I use Keyboard Maestro in this situation because the macro I created with it is triggered by a keyboard sequence of my choice that does the same unformatting thing in other programs that have their own menu and keyboard choices so I don't have remember any of them to accomplish the same thing. I know that once LO gets itself into this situation, it won't recover itself. The hang just continues. I called up Apple's Force Quit Applications widget, selected "LibreOffice (not responding)" and killed it. That produced an Apple crash report, which will be uploaded to Apple under its schedule (presumably LO gets a copy). Report date is March 18, 2024 circa 11:30 am Pacific Daylight Time. Apple OS v. 14.4 (23E214) Version: 24.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: db4def46b0453cc22e2d0305797cf981b68ef5ac CPU threads: 12; OS: macOS 14.4; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-CA (en_CA.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Further to the above, I discovered later the same day the events also deleted the document's formatted footer.
