Description CharlieRamirez 2024-04-06 06:57:47 UTC
Description:
IT. seems to have problems representing the colors of some images generated with Krita with 16bit color depths With variable effects depending on the tones and size of the image (From slight barely perceptible changes to completely different colors), The change of colors is not only aesthetic but it also affects printing and saving

-Tested with exported images as well as
JPG as PNG and direct printing
It does not seem to be a problem with the files or krita since the exported images are seen normally in the image viewer and browser and (tested Chrome and Firefox Stable) with images generated for months and current

-Page Quality settings are default and bitmap compression disabled with no graphics card visual improvements

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start a new document in Writer or Draw (both tested)
2. import or insert an image (preferably generated with krita) a 16 bit depth image with Adobe RGB as the profile. in jpg or PNG format [Not necessary but tested with images with physical size of an A4 sheet or more with 300dpi]

3. Compare colors visually with the source image (You can also detect changes with tools like PowerToys Color Picker)
4. Try to save and export as PDF (Color changed as output)

Actual Results:
Hue change effects usually vary from almost imperceptible to completely different colors. These altered colors also affect the saving and printing process, so different images will be obtained even if printed from libreoffice or from another app.

Expected Results:
The image colors should be respected since compression is not being used and the images have a color profile present (or failing that, the user should be notified that a profile is not available or sRGB will be used instead)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I have been using Winget as an update source for a few months, so I don't know if it will be a bug exclusive to the Winget version or the Windows release in general.

I can provide the original images with which I have tested the bug if necessary
