Description: I upgraded to LO 24.2.3 and have 2 issues now: - whatever I try copy from any other app or web copy font format, which was not done in the 7.6.7, so must use CTRL+SHIFT+V now, which is very annoying - copy table from Calc to the Google Sheets does NOT copy formulas, but only numbers, so I have to import Calc table to the Google Sheets again [remove previous version] and share this "new" table with all participants, which is nighmare. Steps to Reproduce: 1. copy any text to Calc table from web 2. copy any cell from Calc with formula to Google Sheets Actual Results: ad 1) formatted font will be copied, not text without format ad 2) number of cell will be copied, but not formula Expected Results: ad 1) CTRL+V should past text without format ad 2) Calc cells must be copied with formulas Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: N/A
Please paste the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice, there is a copy icon. 1) Please give a link to copy the table that doesn't work. 2) The same happens copying from Excel. Only copying from Excel to LibreOffice, copy the formula.
Thank you for the report. I believe the format getting copied across is the result of the various patches for bug 159483. I expect most users to want to have formatting carried over by default, and you always have the Unformatted Text option if you do not want that. This would be consistent with e.g. Writer, and also with copying HTML tables into Calc. It improves interoperability between office suites. Please see the blog post on the topic: https://vmiklos.hu/blog/sc-clipboard-paste.html However, regarding the formula copying issue: The blog post clarifies that the feature is only available with Chrome and Safari, but not Firefox. However I tested both Firefox and Chromium, and can't copy a formula from Calc to Google Sheets in: - 7.6.7.2 - 24.2.3.2 - recent daily build: @Miklos, am I missing something? @DJH, are you sure you were able to copy formulas from Calc to Google Sheets previously?

Copy text format is very bad ... imagine you are writing text/creating table and you need to copy text/number (like me doing every day many times), so as it is copied with original font I have to use CTRL+SHIFT+v or I have to user font brush to re-format copied text/cell to same font format as the rest of document/table = nightmare to do it hundered times a day.
[Automated Action] NeedInfo-To-Unconfirmed
Downgraded back to 7.6.7.2 and both works OK again: - font format is NOT copied from web page(s) to Writer, nor Calc - formulas are copied from Calc to Google Sheets So, definitely NOT!!! worthy to upgrade to LibreOffice 24.* :(
(In reply to DJH from comment #6) > - formulas are copied from Calc to Google Sheets Which web browser do you use? Please also paste here the full version information from Help > About LibreOffice.

Tested in SRWare Iron 122.* + 123.*, Brave and Firefox. It was latest [two weeks back] version of LibreOffice 24.* - don't have it anymore, downgraded to 7.6 now.

We still don't have this, which matters because different operating systems manage clipboard data differently.
