Description sylvanor 2024-05-31 17:28:24 UTC
Description:
When using the "book" view mode, the text which is above a picture set in background setting and expanded to the whole width of the page is invisible when on the page shown at the left.

When using the command to revert the image horizontally or vertically, the text is shown again until we scroll or just briefly

English is not my former language (I'm French and I'm using the French version) so I hope this report will be ok and the commands buttons are correctly named)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new document
2.Set the view in book mode and create a new page so you'll be on the page located at the left of the screen
3.Write something
4.Put an image in the document
5.Set the image as shown in the background
6.Expand it over the whole width of the document and at a place where it should be behind the text
7. The text is invisible!

Actual Results:
The text is invisible!

Expected Results:
The text should be visible, shown over the image.

Reproducible: Always

The bug only occurs if there is a page after the one you're working on.
So, if you want to reproduce the bug using the provided steps, you need to add a third page.

Test document in which you can see the bug

You should see the text over the picture in this document (in page 2).
But because of the bug, the text is invisible.
Only occurs in book mode (so the page 2 is shown at the left).
If you scroll, the text sometimes appears (or disappears).
If you export in PDF, you'll see the text. It's just a display bug.

(m_a_riosv beat me to it, here's my comment)

I can see the same on Linux. I have to test at 100%. When zooming in to 200%, or out to below 95%, the text appears.

    Reproduced in:

    Version: 7.6.7.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
    Build ID: dd47e4b30cb7dab30588d6c79c651f218165e3c5
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
    Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
    Calc: CL threaded

    Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
    Build ID: 6084962f93efc005b6827edceae12d3170f17ccd
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
    Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
    Calc: CL threaded

Also in e.g. 6.0.0.3. In OOo, same thing except that the text is only revealed at 200% zoom, not when zooming out.

Thanks for examinating my report.
On my computer, zooming at 100% or 200% doesn't make the text appear.
