Description: This is a new feature that can be added to the function panel. There is no direct to way to go to the wiki of a function, so it will be so much better if a help button is added, which can go to the proper wiki according to the selected function. Actual Results: --- Expected Results: --- Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 342670dc6b0fc5b93a40b9cf86b8cca67fac88a3 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
If I may ask (and please forgive my ignorance)... What's wrong with using the normal Help content for Calc functions? Why (links to) the wiki should be added for help within Calc? FWIW, the wiki is not the same as official Help Content. For each Calc function, sometimes it helps, but it is not always the case. Moreover, since each wiki page is modified by different users, the quality of each wiki page is not always adequate, especially regarding translated wiki pages. IMHO, if you want to provide links (or similar) within Calc, they should always link to official Help Content, not to TDF wiki pages.
You are right; I failed to properly express what I intended to do. The link should indeed be to the official Help Content. Thanks for the clarification :)

Found a small issue today. If you modify the size of the function wizard window the help button will be increased, but the list of functions should be resized and the help button should be the same imho.

Maybe this was fixed later as I don't see this in the FW dialog. I was looking at the help button for the dialog, not the one that is below the function list. I do repro.

I see in a later patch commit Andreas said "The help button should horizontally expand but not vertically", so I guess there is no problem anymore. https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/171929/comments/9e48f16b_428952b4
