Hi, this bug has been there for years, so I can't really specify which version it occurred in first. In a large sheet (9000+ rows) and simple arithmetic formulas in half of them, when I copy a value (Cmd-C on macOS) from one field and then immediately move the cursor to anothere field where I want to paste it into, Calc will often crash, and I have to recover the file (which always works fine with minimal data loss). However, if I want a second or so before I move the cursor, the crash will not happen. At this point my muscle memory will almost always cause me to pause after copying, but sometimes the pause is still too short and Calc crashes again. What can I do to help narrow this down? Thanks Maik
Would you mind to p
I have similar issue but in my case Calc crashes immediately after trying to copy. The problem occurs at random times, but at some point when I try to press Cmd-C (using Mac OS) Calc crashes immediately. It then saves the file and allows me to recover, thankfully. The problem started to occur after I updated to the latest version (24.2.4)
Please carefully read tdf#161461 comment 14, and follow the whole set of instructions, especially the part of executing the "xattr" command. Please report back in tdf#161723 (not in the other ticket).
I tested the build based on commit c983881b821f10b081336129ce547435b45d1704 for one and a half days and the crash has not occurred again during this period. Looks good, but of course can't say for sure until a longer period of time has passed. Thanks for the work!
Thank you. Let's mark this report as dupe of tdf#161461 for now. If there happens to be some new relevant info, please post it in tdf#161723 (not in the others). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 161461 ***
Update: the fix for this bug is now available for Mac App Store version of LibreOffice: https://apps.apple.com/app/libreoffice/id1630474372 If you bought LibreOffice in the Mac App Store, you can get the fix by opening the App Store application on your Mac and selecting the Store > Updates menu item. Unfortunately, the fix is not yet available in an official release from the LibreOffice website. But a new LibreOffice version is expected to be released sometime later this month (July 2024). I will post an update when the LibreOffice website has the new version.
Update: if you downloaded LibreOffice directly from the LibreOffice website, LibreOffice 24.2.5.1 (a pre-release that contains the fix) can be download from the folowing TDF website links: Mac Silicon: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/?type=mac-aarch64&version=24.2.5 Mac Intel: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/?type=mac-x86_64&version=24.2.5
