Description: I am on KDE plasma on wayland and I need to use a gtk VCL due to another bug regarding scaling issues when two displays are connected with different scaling. I have recently tried the gtk4 VCL, but noticed an important regression in it. It seems impossible to drag objects from the gallery into a drawing. This works on the kf6 vcl and the gtk3 one. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open libreoffice draw using the gtk4 VCL 2. Try to drag an object from the gallery into the current drawing Actual Results: The object can be selected in the gallery, but trying to drag it into the drawing does not work Expected Results: Bringing the selected object into the drawing should work Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: DrawingDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Linux (All) OS is 64bit: yes
Gtk4 UI is not ready for production and I don't believe this is a regression *within* the gtk4 code. I can't even test this because I get a crash when trying to start Draw.
Confirm that the object from Gallery can not be drag & drop for the moment. Version: 26.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) Build ID: 0f3bbf5345547d71ec45e87c61a9c0f1fa8ff1bc CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.17; UI render: default; VCL: gtk4 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
