Description: As title. This has started occurring in 24.2.5.2 and was not the case in 7.6.7.2 AFAICS Select/copy formatted text in a cell/range and paste special into another cell/range in another LOCalc document. May be occurring if document created with earlier version or specific formatting, could not replicate in New Spreadsheet to New Spreadsheet created in 24.5.2 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an existing spreadsheet (may need to have been created before 24.2.5.2) 2. Format a cell or range with something (font, size, text colour, bg fill, alignment, etc.) 3. Copy then 'Paste Special' into another spreadsheet (may need to have been created before 24.2.5.2) Actual Results: BG Fill was pasted along with other formatting in my documents. Worked correctly with 'new' spreadsheets in 24.2.5.2 Expected Results: To work as with new spreadsheet Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 24.2.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: bffef4ea93e59bebbeaf7f431bb02b1a39ee8a59 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22631; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded
Please attach a sample file.
I can't provide the sheet as it is commercially sensitive. Sorry. Most of my older files are similarly sensitive so I'm not going to forward anything. If no-one else confirms this issue then I guess it will just go unanswered but I have alternate office suites I can use if LO continues to mess up.
There are no precise steps to reproduce, no sample document, and not even a hint of which version to test with (except that it might happen with some spreadsheet that was saved with some unknown older version but probably not with the latest version). ATM we don't really know how to start with some attempt to reproduce the problem. I anyway attempted to follow the generic steps. I created 2 spreadsheets with some random cell formatting (including background color) with LO 7.6.6. Then, using LO 24.2.4, I used copy + paste special without format, and the result was as expected (and not as reported). Without _specific_ steps and conditions / context, the reported behavior would not be easy to reproduce.
