Description Eyal Rozenberg 2024-08-06 18:33:11 UTC
Context-free description:

Consider the attached DOC file. It contains a shape with 4 paragraphs of text, but only 3 properly fit into the height of the box; the fourth paragraph overflows, and is not displayed beyond the bottom of the shape.

When we open the file in LO Writer, the overflowing 4th paragraph _does_ display below the edges of the shape.

If we first save the file, from MS-Word, as a DOCX, and open it in LO Writer - the overflowing paragraph does not show below the shape's bottom edge.

----

Now for some background:

This is the first of several bugs separating out the issuess we see in the infamous DOC from in bug 50301.

The attached document is attachment 62050 [details] with the following changes:

* Everything on the second column removed
* Only the top, page-wide shape kept; everything below and above it removed
* Shape border and background changed
* Replaced the shape text area with 4 paragraphs of English LTR text
* Removed most styles and DF
* Set the Normal style to use the Liberation Sans font family
