Description: LibreOffice is configured to use either Microsoft Print to PDF or Foxit PhantomPDF Printer with no network printer (at the moment, it didn't make a difference). The modal wait for printer connection blocks application use on every open until time out or the window is located to press cancel. I use LibreOffice Sheets exclusively and often through the day and find the delay quite irritating, especially in virtual meeting. I have donated in the past and am willing to donate towards this particular revision. It started I believe a couple of updates ago. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Application 2. 3. Actual Results: Waiting for printer connection window Expected Results: Application opens as no communication is required for non devices. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: SpreadsheetDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: yes Version: 24.2.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: bffef4ea93e59bebbeaf7f431bb02b1a39ee8a59 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

Then the exact reason can be found out: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bibisect https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bibisect/Windows Let me know, if you need guidance on this (can be a screensharing call). I don't see this on Windows, so I can not investigate.
Confirming this is still a very disruptive issue. I have had this problem for... years? I recently started using calc again more often, and so I updated to the latest version v25.2.5.2 and the issue persists. I believe from intuition the issue is because calc is looking for a printer on startup. However, I do not keep my printer on at all times, and so calc is hanging and wasting time trying to connect to a printer that is offline. This also occurs in safe mode. It also occurs even though I have tools->options->load/save-> "load printer settings with the document" disabled. It's worth noting that if you have external file links, it does this hanging behavior more than once. If I set "Microsoft Print to PDF" as my default printer in windows, the hanging stops, reinforcing the idea that it's looking for offline printers. This is a terrible workaround. I think this is a major issue. Googling the problem you will find many people with this issue and no solution other than to throw your windows defaults under the bus.
