I created two tables, and want to draw lines from rows in one table to rows in the other. I can do this with 'lines and arrows' in the shapes menu but they don't snap to the table, so if I move it or add/delete rows I have to move all the lines as well. I tried to use the 'connectors' but they only snap to the edge of the table at the center, not at the rows.
I didn't try, but you can try: Create a basic shape in the first cell of the row, anchor to paragraph, and make it transparent. Do the same in the cell/row of the second table. Create the lines.
I spent quite a while trying to make this work. I added an invisible box, but the anchor options appear to be missing. I searched for it in the customize dialog, but it's not there. I can make a group out of the boxes and the table, but it's a hassle to get everything positioned correctly (especially since most are invisible). It's a usable but less-than-ideal workaround.
Created attachment 195992 [details] Sample file with connector and shapes. Attached a sample file. Sorry, but connectors can not be set up on Writer, but you can create the shapes with their connector on Draw and past it on Writer. Seems it works fine, deleting or adding rows to the tables. To set up the anchor, right-click on the shape. If you have trouble to find the shapes, use the navigator on the sidebar to find and select them.
This is a report for Draw, not for Writer.
Sorry my bad. Seems there are no way. Well except inserting a Writer OLE object in Draw Having shapes inside tables in Draw like in Writer seems a good option.
