Description: too wide a left sidebar in Start Center for RU locale (look at screenshot with the comparing) it's because the word "Donate" was translated to RU as "Сделать пожертвование", but it's a full correct translation. I'm against moving the button. Can you name it just "пожерт", or use some abbreviation, or if all fails turn it into an icon-only button, ie. clear the string?
Indeed, adding a button to the right of an existing button, and hoping that all translations would be short enough to keep a descent layout, is not very reliable ;-) Heiko: I suggest you to do the change that you suggested: please make the button an image-only button, for all locales. Another option could be to remove the button from there - but I have no suggestion where it should be moved. Thanks!

Would agree the translators need guidance for the string--finding a suitable iconography for a bitmap button across the icon themes seems daunting.
Patch in review that will abbreviate labels >8 characters (full text will be shown as tooltip).
