Default Template does not remember no Whitespace. In both a blank page and a not blank page in View I clicked on Whitespace to hide whitespace. I checked the set as default and save both. When I then created a new page, both had Whitespace.

Replicated this on 24.8.

Installation and user profile was originally installed as 24.2.0.1; upgraded to 24.2.3.2; then upgraded to 24.8.0.3
Attempted to toggle the "Whitespace" option resulted in nothing happening.
Restarted in Safe Mode and it worked.
Created a new user profile and it worked; but the option is not remembered between sessions despite creating a new default template.
