Description: When creating a sheet of labels in Writer you have the option to select a single label or to create a whole sheet of the same label. When I print stamps from the LaPoste website I am able to choose the number of labels to print, and in which row and column to start the first label. This would be a nice feature to have in Writer. Steps to Reproduce: 1.File-New-Labels 2.Labels tab - Format - Sheet 3.Options tab - Distribute - add Number of labels and start column and start row. Actual Results: If labels have 5 columns and 14 rows (for example) and you choose 10 labels starting at row 6 column 2 it would produce 10 labels, starting at row 6 column 2 and ending on row 8 column 1 Expected Results: If labels have 5 columns and 14 rows (for example) and you choose 10 labels starting at row 6 column 2 it would produce 10 labels, starting at row 6 column 2 and ending on row 8 column 1 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: New feature request
Thank you for your report. I can't see a differnece between actual and expected result. Can you please check? I also don't understand step 3, because I don't see how I can add number of labels and start column and start row. Help [1] says: "Column: Enter the column in which you want to place your single label or business card. Row: Enter the row in which you want to place your single label or business card." Created attachment 197376 [details] screen print of the French postage stamp printing website
This is an enhancement request, not a bug, so the Actual results section is irrelevant (but mandatory!) I have attached a screen print from the French postal service where the functionality I am proposing is illustrated. At the moment, when you print a sheet of labels you must fill the entire sheet with your required text, then manually delete the labels you do not require before printing. My proposal is to allow the user to select the number of labels they want, and the starting position of the first label on the sheet. In the attached screen printed example I have chosen to print 8 labels but starting at position 4, that is column 1 row 2.
