Under Tools → Footnote / Endnote settings → Footnote tab → Numbering you have several options, including a "numbering with symbols" one that uses the sequence *, †, ‡, §, **, ††, §§, etc. It's that what you need? If so, please change the report as RESOLVED, NOTABUG. Setting as NEEDINFO.

I didn't know about this option, but solves part of my problem, but it is more normal to use only one type of character and not change to other. Unless this: *, †, ‡, §, **, ††, §§, etc. It is more normal to use: *, **, ***, ****, etc.
