Description B.J. Herbison 2024-09-15 09:14:49 UTC
Description:
Clicking on the Name Box, pointing to an entry, and pressing Enter only works sometimes. In previous versions of LibreOffice Calc this worked every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file.
2. Click the Name Box, point to Name_1, press Enter.
3. Click the Name Box, point to Name_2, press Enter.
4. Point to Name_1, press Enter.
5. Point to Name_2, press Enter.
6. Point to Name_1, press Enter.
7. Point to Name_2, press Enter.
8. Press up or down arrow, press Enter.

Actual Results:
1. File opens.
2. Jumps to Name 1.
3-7. The Name Box drop-down doesn't close and no navigation happens.
8. Jumps to the name pointed to.

Expected Results:
Every time the Name Box drop-down is open and the cursor is pointing at an entry pressing the Enter Key should jump to that entry.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
The problem exists with the Enter key on the main keyboard and the Enter key on the numeric keypad.

How do you point to Name1 or Name2?
Comment 3 B.J. Herbison 2024-09-15 21:31:28 UTC
I point to Name_1 or Name_2 by touching the trackpad until the cursor is above Name_1 or Name_2.

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS which gave me 24.8.1.2. The problem still exists.

I tested this with several LibreOffice versions on Linux, all the way to 3.5. I also tested on Windows with the latest master and version 4.3. I never got it to work with Enter.

It would be nice, if this worked, however, so let's set to NEW.
