Description B.J. Herbison 2024-09-15 09:39:15 UTC
Description:
Previously selecting an entry in the Name Box would jump to the named entry and put focus on the entry. Now the entry remains in the Name Box. Sometimes pressing ESC doesn't exit the Name Box.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file.
2. Click the Name Box, click Name_2, press Page Up and Page Down.
3. Click the Name Box, click Name_2, press Page Down, press ESC, press Page Down.
4. Click the Name Box, click Name_2, press Page Up (so Manage Names... is shown), press ESC, press Page Down.

Actual Results:
2. The Name Box scrolls.
3. Focus stays in the Name Box.
4. The sheet scrolls.

Expected Results:
2. The sheet should scroll.
3. The sheet should scroll.
4. The sheet scrolls.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Noticed as I investigated bug 1774455.

Following the steps as described were reproducible for me in Safe Mode, but the Name Box was exited in some other scenarios. Pressing up and down arrow and ESC sometimes stayed in the Name Box and sometimes exited.

Example sheet referenced.

The example sheet was created new using Version 24.8.0.3. The same issue was seen with sheets originally created with previous versions of Calc.
