(In reply to Michel COLLET from comment #0) > Description: > an automatic "Adjust text" behavior occurs after validating an update of a > cell containing line returns (or new lines) This description sounds like bug 159690 which was recently fixed for the upcoming 24.2.7 and 24.8.3. > Steps to Reproduce: > 1. "Copy" a text from Writer containing long lines and line returns (or new > lines). > 2. In Calc, enter inside a cell. OK - I double-clicked on the cell to get a blinking cursor in cell G1 > 3. "Special paste" + "Paste unformated text" the copied text from Writer to > the inside of the cell in Calc OK - I get three lines of text that spills out below the row height of row 1. > 4. Validate the cell. I press ENTER. Row 1 grows to accomodate the three lines of text. In the fixed version, "Format Cells - Alignment" no longer forces on "Wrap text automatically". So I think the problem you are discussing is fixed, but it is hard to know for sure given translation differences...
It seems to be fixed if as you wrote: In the fixed version, "Format Cells - Alignment" no longer forces on "Wrap text automatically". Thanks a lot for your quick response and previous correction, Michel
